Validation will be based on the following tasks
- Borneo Canopy Height Model, with ground truth from ALS scans collected by David Coomes's group
- Test accuracy of crop classification from the crop dataset for an important agricultural production region in Austria (the so-called ‘Marchfeld’), characterised by a large number of crops in widely different field sizes.
- Compare forest AGB in Para state with the results computed by Mantle (RSE paper)
- Compare CHM in California with CHM obtained from ALS scans
- Compare burn scars in Sierra Nevada in California with ground truth labels from PANGAEA/US Forestry Service
