Once we have better BT representations, we can create a global, or near-global map. For such a map, we think tropical areas are of most importance but could also consider boreal forests. The work at Microsoft by Konstantin Klemmer on encoding that is independent of the geography but encodes the biome (vector encodings summarising the characteristics of the location convenient for downstream tasks) might be relevant. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2310.06743
