The king and the monkey

Once there was a king who was very fond of his pet monkey. He like to treat the monkey just as he would a friend. Seeing his generals resplendent in their costumes and ceremonial swords, he decided to outfit his monkey similarly. The monkey looked magnificent in his military outfit.

One summer afternoon, when the king was sleeping, a fly buzzed around him. The monkey, agitated, tried to swat the fly away with his paw. The fly persisted, at which the monkey drew his sword. Just then, the fly landed on the king's neck. The monkey, quick as a flash, swatted at the fly with his sword and killed the king.
